MS TCP Loopback Interface

I have noticed that one of my servers has a lot of traffic on the loopback
interface. This isn't an installed instance of the MS loopback adapter but
rather the default internal loopback interface at 127.0.0.1. The server in
question is running windows 2003 server and the application that appears to
be sending/receiving huge amounts of data on the loopback interface is IBM
Websphere.
My question is...
Is there a way to view/modify the settings on the default loopback? I
searched the registry for loopback, and 127.0.0.1 and didn't find any
specific location that looked like it had any options/paramaters for that
interface. Netdiag -v shows it as adapter 1 however it isn't listed
anywhere. What I really want to do is set the speed up from 10MB on this
interface if possible. It really looks like the loopback interface is built
into the OS rather then any kind of device/driver etc. but there must be some
way to see it / configure it?

There is nothing wrong with what you are seeing. It is "traffic" because it
isn't going anywhere. Leave it alone.
