I just read story on this on cnet.com.
http://news.com.com/2100-7351_3-5209677.html?
tag=st.rc.targ_mb I for one am tired of getting burned
when companies dump product lines, leaving users with
lame-duck products that will become quickly obsolete.
Intel was/is famous for this. After running their network
admin packages and investing in their faxservers boom
they dump it. I no longer purchase Intel products if I
have an alternative as I will not purchase MS hardware
products in the future either personally or
professionally when an alternative is available . While a
company has every right to change direction it is the
users that get left holding the bag for their poor
business decisions. If a company doesn't have the drive
to succeed in a market they should play to begin with.
Just my humble opinion.

According to the article, MS will support the products
for the warranty period. Two years from now who knows
what we'll be running. I am only sorry that MS won't be
leading the pack. I think quite a bit of their products
and am especially happy with my wi-fi upgrade. Moved from
Linksys which was a pain to run.

I also moved away from Linksys to MS. Too many problems
with Linksys equipment. Lockup's, droped connections,
zero and I mean zero tech support. I've never buy a
Cisco/Linksys product again. My MS 700 runs with no
problems as a access point. Too damn bad its a legacy
product now.

This mean Microsoft will do bug fixes for the next two
years, it does not mean Microsoft will add new features
to the firmware. Its a dead end product that went off the
cliff.
