MS-DOS Application, Windows 2003 Server & CPU Overload

Hi Everyone

One of our clients has been running our old MS-DOS application successfully
for several years now on the following setup: WinFrame 1.7 on the server,
and approximately 25 workstations running either Windows 98, XP or 2000.
They experienced no problems with this setup and access to the MS-DOS
program was fast.

However, within the last week they have upgraded their system and are now
running Windows 2003 Server with all workstations running Windows XP Pro
(with the exception of one which is running Windows 2000 Pro). Access to
the MS-DOS program is through Terminal Services. Since the upgrade, they
have experienced extreme performance problems with the system when running
the MS-DOS application. After three or four users have logged into the
program, it starts to slow down significantly. The CPU usage is up in the
90% region.

I have no network knowledge and my partner's knowledge is rudimentary. I
would be most grateful if anyone could give me some clues as to what might
be causing this slow-down and give me some advise on where to look.

Thanks - Debbie

Try:

Control Panel\Add Remove Programs\Add Remove Windows Components.

Clear the check box for: Internet Explorer Enhanced Security Configuration
