Hi

Have completed my 12 month contract with Telewest/Virgin Media. I have
the telephone & broadband services which works out at a basic charge of
£29 a month. (£11 telephone rental, £18 broadband)

I have heard alot about LLU and I would like to reduce the amount I am
paying. I only need a 2Mbit service and a telewest rented telephone
line. Is there an ISP anyone can recommend that offers a basic 2Mbit
unlimited service & telephone line where you don't have to add on the
cost of £11 line rental a month. (I have read about Talk Talk but they
dont get very good reviews.)

Thanks for your help

B.

Sorry I mean I only need a 2Mbit service and a telephone line to receive
incoming calls easily (not ready for VOIP yet)

none formulated the question :

You do realise you can't use an ex-TW telephone line for ADSL
purposes.....?

Oh yes you can. as long as it's a ex Telewest number (i.e ported to BT's
network). All you have to do is find an ISP who really want your custom, or
wait around 6 weeks which ever is easier...

Have I entered a pantomime?

"Oh no you can't"

I didn't say you can't have ADSL on an ex-TW number.

Ex-TW = VirginMedia, btw.

Then you should have made it clearer as ex-TW could also apply to users who
have ported their TW number to BT...

Perhaps you should have read the statement the OP made & my reply to
that statement and not made any assumptions.

The fact remains that ADSL cannot be provided on any cable /line/
