We have an NT server and all workstation computers run XP Pro. Amys
computer plugs into network jack #1 in the front office. Bobs computer
plugs into network jack #2 in the sales office. They want to switch
locations. Can they simply move their computers and Amy plug into jack #2,
Bob plug into jack #1?
I don't know if NT has a setting that says Amy is on !1 so if she moved her
computer to #2 it wouldn't be seen properly.

Thanks in advance

This should work fine...the server doesn't know or care about the network
jack/location.

(Note that NT is long out of support and you really ought to get this
network upgraded to current generation stuff)

Thanks. And I just went and checked and I'm embarrassed to say..... we
mistakenly call it NT but it's actually Server 2003. That's why I wouldn't
even move computers without checking with someone first! Obviously we're
clueless here!

Thanks again
