I have two Client Pc's with personalized settings and files that need to
their profiles moved from a workgroup to a newly created 2003 domain. Any
good suggestions on the procedure?

Thanks

Option #1:

1) Log on to the domain to create a new profile then log off. If the domain
account has logged on already then go to the next step.
2) Logon on as an administrator of the local machine.
3) Open My Computer > Properties > use the copy profiles option to copy the
local profile of the local account to the domain account. Log off and back
on as the user.

See tip 2240 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at http://www.jsiinc.com

Option #2:

Change in the registry the profile path for the new user to point to the old
profile folder (the user
needs to log on at least once first).

If the user is not a local admin, you might need to something on the
permission side. Use tip 4631 and 2240 in the 'Tips & Tricks' at
http://www.jsiinc.com as a guide.

Option #3:
You can also use ADMT to migrate the user profiles. This can be run remotely
and is very useful in an environment where computers are used by more than
one person and so multiple profiles are present.
