Hello all

Currently i have a DHCP server running on windows 2003 sp2, this server has
several DHCP scopes running on it. I want to export some of the scopes and
import these scopes to a DHCP server running on windows 2008. I have found
this microsoft KB article 962355 and it works great for exporting the entire
DHCP database and importing it into a 2008 DHCP server, but like i said i
dont want to export the entire database just individual scopes. What
procedure can i follow to export individual scopes from a 2003 DHCP server
and import these scopes to a 2008 DHCP server? and lastly if i did export
the entire DHCP database and imported it into the 2008 DHCP server could i
just delete the scopes that i dont want running on the 2008 DHCP server, and
would these scopes still be running on the 2003 DHCP server? this part is
critical, i am concerned that the scopes are somehow AD integrated and if
you delete it off of one DHCP server it will delete the scope off of all
DHCP servers?

Thanks

This is your best option. If you delete the scopes from teh Win 2k8 server
they will remain on the Win 2k3 server.

No such thing as AD integrated DHCP. DNS yes, DHCP no.
