Move broadband service

My daugter is about to move from a flat in Woolwich to a flat
somewhere else in London - she says Aldgate, but it could be
Whitechapel :-)

Howeverthe new flat is in a different exchange area

Her broadband provider is currently Plusnet, who she is happy to stay
with.

The telephone line in the old flat is provided by BT, there is a phone
line in the new flat, but no idea who provides it

My question therefore is how does she go about moving her broadband
service from one address to the other?

Wouldn't it be quicker if she or you rang Plusnet customer service,
explained the situation and asked the questions?
Their phone number is 0114 296 5198

Fraid it will be a new install.

With all the charges.

And an excellent opportunity to ditch PlusNet and go to someone else.

3G stick until she is happy in her new place. Some of those parts of
London are not that pleasant, and it would be a problem and expense to
cease a broadband service early if she decides to upsticks.

You really need to get her out of 'email prison' if she is using the ISP
email address as her main.

Possibly, or it may be better to ask advice from experts - i.e. people
who have carried out a similar move in the past and have overcome to
probable problems

A new broadband install? I'm assuming the telephone line will not
require a full install, just the provision of dial tone.

In all fairness (unusual for me) I have to say that the service she's
had from Plusnet, after she finally got the service working (the
problem being in no smail part due to the delivery driver not noticing
there was a concierge to accept parcels) it has worked trouble free.

Who would you recommend, if not Plusnet - it has to be cheap and
relaible

Thanks for that - I have a Voda 3G dongle she could use - it's the
version where the 15 quid top-up doesn't expire. It's worth
considering

She got a "get out of email jail" card at my prompting a few years ago
- thankfully

I've had no problems with three lines from Plusnet in three different
locations in and around London. As my elderly friends don't have a life
playing multi-user games or hammering torrents, their low cost services
are fine - and for me useful in getting these folks off dial-up.

Do ask plusnet though. I've just had a look at their guide, and the word
'free' is mentioned.

Provided there is already a BT phoneline in place, there will be no
charge by Plusnet to move the broadband to the new address.
