How to mount remote server locally to a machine?

Hi i have tried running nfs and nis clients on suse linux 10.1 so that
i can get access to the remote server. It worked on a machine which was
used to create a image and then was ghosted to another 20 or so
machines. The ghosted machines when running NFS and NIS clients will
not mount the remote server.
Any help please

man exports
The machine name is part of the connection; it cannot be re-used.
