The most compatible PCMCIA wifi card?

I have the Linksys WPC54G, which works great with Linksys wifi
products, and is very hit and miss with other stuff.

With Draytek 2600Gi/2900Gi routers, it works if there is no encryption
(no WEP even, never mind WPA) but I did once get it working with plain
64-bit WEP. This is *not* the old issue with differing passphrase
crunching standards, BTW, I am entering them in hex.

A friend's Sony laptop works perfectly with the Draytek routers, as
does an HP laptop.

With other wifi (public) APs, it works about half the time.

I spent many hours trying to get their compactflash wifi adaptor to
work in a Tosh PDA, eventually returning it for credit.

Their "support" is in the Philippines and they are clue-less.

There must be better stuff about than this...

Peter.
