More Progress with Wifi, still need help

I'm getting a rtl8185L/rtl8225 wifi card working. You know me already.
Anyway, I've been working with FC4 for a while, and just installed SuSE
10.1 beta 6. Anyway, I installed ndiswrapper with the cd drivers, and it
worked fine. Did an iwconfig essid [essid] and it worked fine. All the
stats look right, and even got kwifimanager working (with accurate
stats). With everything working, I can't ping the wireless router. How
do I get it to be able to be pinged (or any other traffic)?

Update: if I use /sbin/dhclient, it gets the hardware addresses right,
then gets stuck on the DHCPDISCOVER
