OK, I have 2 boxes running Squid filtering with websense. They are
setup in primary-failover type mode, using heartbeat to pass an IP
address back and forth. I want to be able to send alert messages to
our CiscoWorks server who will take SNMP messages and send out
emails/SMS/etc. Does anyone know of a good way to monitor this kind of
activity to send alerts from? Also sending other service failures and
such would be nice too. Im only a little familular with SNMP, so any
other resources you can point me to would be very helpful.
