Is there any way to know if someone else is using my AP? I'm running Mac
OSX/ Airport, the AP is open but I'd like to know how much use it's getting.

Use the Apple Network utility and get it to give you a full list of
configured IP addresses - there should be just you on it !

You might want to consider reading a copy of the book
published by O'Reilly titled 'Wireless Hacks'. I'm quite
sure a read about more than one way to accomplish
what you are asking.

And, as a bonus, you will learn about a whole LOT of other
stuff about wireless (including how insecure these beasts are
even after enabling all the supposed 'security features').

A 'must read' in my opinion.
