Monitoring Link Usage

I have a new ADSL link, and a Linux box on it.

Is there some basic (pref free) software i can run to generate real
time graphs of my link usage.

Its a 512/512, and i really need to know how MUCH of it is in use at
key times.

ANy ideas?

For a fast, quick and dirty real time bandwidth monitor and graph use bmon
(http://people.suug.ch/~tgr/bmon/).

have a look at

can monitor nearly all. e.g. hdd, ram, network, ntp..
