Hi,

My LAN is setup with 2003 AD domain, internal DNS server but im using a
firewall/router as my gateway on all client pcs.

I can setup my log files on my firewall/router to capture IPs but not urls.
Ideally i need date/time stamped url list.

With the above network setup, how best can i achive this ?

Thanks for your help
Scott

Nothing in Windows is going to do this for you - some firewall might be able
to. But ISA is really what you need, or a third party proxy server.

Even ISA only does Summaries. It doesn't do "Big Brother" stuff.

There are third party add-ons ($$$) for ISA that extend the Reporting
abilities.
See the "Partners" link in my signature.

can i setup ISA as a gateway/cache only ?

i.e

net
|
firewall
|
|_______________ LAN pcs
|
ISA

Lan pcs use ISA as GATEWAY but ISA has single NIC.

thanks
Scott

You could,...but why?

To me it is a total waste of money and hardware to spend $$$$ building an
ISA then go and "neuter" it and only use 30% of what it is capable of doing.

To be properly (and dependably) "aware" of domain accounts you need to have
the ISA joined to the domain.
