Monitor Mode and Probe Requests

I am sniffing using monitor mode (wlanctl-ng wlan0 lnxreq_wlansniff
enable=true channel=10) and have read that transmits are disabled when
in monitor mode. I am trying to receive transmitted files passively
and get 90% of the file, but it appears that probe requests are going
out of the card causing the other 10% to be lost.

It's a prism2 card and I have thus far been unable to change the probe
delay time or come up with some other way to block them. Can anyone
help? I tried using wlanctl-ng to change lnxreq_scan to passive mode,
but came back with "Operation Not Supported". I suppose that's a
whole other problem though...

any help would be greatly appreciated.
