i've been researching ways to monitor users on a 10 user LAN. in particular i
have been asked to find a way to track when a file is copied and by who. does
anyone know of a product that works in a windows exvironment?

You cannot do this precisely as you have defined it,
but the built-in file auditing will come close -- especially
with a bit of post processing of the audit logs using Perl
or VBS etc.
