To allow a laptop to use a wireless network configured with static IP's, and
other networks supporting DHCP, i have configured the adapter using the
alternative configuration method. All works fine, but i was wondering if
there is a way to modify the value at which the DHCP client times out after
no servers are found. It takes an average of 70 seconds to time out and set
the adapter to use the IP information i specified under the alternate
configuration tab. I have found many, many options for linux , but none for
windows. I am currently using XP SP2 and WZC client. Any help would be
greatly appreciated, Thanks.
