I'm after a combined router/modem for my impending ADSL installation and
would like some advice.

I'll be ordering wires only ADSL so need a modem built in.

I'm considering the ASR-8400 from Ebuyer
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/produ...duct_uid=48449

It seems to do everything I need at a good price and has a 4 port hub built
in (futureproofing as I only have 1 PC at the moment to connect up but may
have more in the future, i.e online console gaming)

Are there any other similarly priced alternatives out there? If so, please
recommend and I'll check them out.

Cheers

Cubik

There's a good set of forums for the ASR-8400 at
http://adsltech.7host.com/forum/default.asp

Everybody is helpful and can normally help you sort out any problems you
might have.

It just doesn't work when needed

Anybody here an idea on

a) stop the router asking for a password with every page (twice)

b) more importantly how to forward a port to the inside?
