I've been looking at router specs, although my exchange is at least three
months away from being ADSL enabled.

Someone commented that the Origo routers have a firewall that supports
only 20 rules and no port ranges.

I've done a bit of looking about but nowhere in any manuals I've
downloaded or anywhere else have I been able to find any real details of
the firewall rules and settings available to each router.

Anyone have any pointers to good sources of information on this?

I could simply bypass the router and use a firewall on one of my Linux
boxen but it seems a lot easier if a secure setup can be had on the router
itself. I would be prepared to spend additional cash on a decent router
when the time comes if needed.
