Win98 isn't compatible with USB I don't think. You need Win98SE or
later from what I remember.

Need more info on the problem:

1. can it been seen by windows if installed?

2. Has the modem worked in another PC?

3. Try the modem in different PCI slots, mine has to be in slot 3 or 4 or it
wont work reliably. But one slot to not put it in is the first slot nearest
to the AGP slot, as that shares a IRQ with the AGP which for a modem isn't
good.

4. is it the drivers that fail to install fully?

5. what error messages if any do you get.

Does it look like the drivers installed correctly if you go to the device
manager ?

At which point doesn`t it work ?
