Ok. So I finally changed, isp, got a real modem with v92 and ordered call
waiting instead of the message center (voicemail through phone service). On
winxp, the MOH.exe program can't start so there's not point in continuing
that dead end path. Is there a program or script or something that can do
the modem on hold stuff? Or even if it can make the modem hangup to receive
a call, I don't care too much about losing the connection. And as if I'm not
asking for too much already, can that same program be the dialer program? I
tried using ppp-go but it requires root login. I've used kde's ppp dialer
but it doesn't seem to share settings for all users (so I have to enter it
once for every user) I'm a bit of a newb so I might have missed solutions to
those 2 programs.
I've looked in old posts regarding modem on hold and none seem to be very
informative. They are simply a bunch of people asking the same question that
I'm asking here today.
