Tell us how you launch pppd and how you connect with the modem. If you
do that with script(s) then post exact copies of them.
Add the pppd debug option to /etc/options. If you use chat to dial-out
with the modem then add the -v chat option. Configure the line below
in /etc/syslog.conf
local2.*;*.=debug;*.=notice /var/log/ppp-debug.log
and restart syslogd with "kill -HUP $(pidof syslogd)" to get syslogd
to reread the file.
Start pppd as usual and post an exact copy of the ppp-debug.log,
including timestamps. If you don't use chat then still add the debug
option as above, configure whatever dial-out pppd frontend you use
for maximum verbosity, start pppd, and post the ppp-debug.log as
described above.
