Mobile broadband

Anyone used mobile broadband? Been looking at the offering from Three
- the 3GB per month for 15 quid. Will use it with a laptop PC.

For mobile data 3Gb for £15 a month is very competitive.

Thanks for that...

Finally plumped for T-Mobile's £20 a month "unlimited"
subject-to-fair-use service (they reserve right to contact after 3GB
a month, and VOIP is not allowed). Service connects at 3.6 Mbps. It
works well and appears fast. Am not using for file downloading etc,
but for web access and email it appears excellent.

Don't know why companies like Dell aren't bundling this sort of
service as an option with laptops...

Thanks for that Jon. Ended up going for T-Mobiles £20 quid a month as
I had seen it actually working where I need it.

I was in Phoenix, Arizona last week (100 degrees, phew..!). The city
administration there are in the process of rolling out free wi-fi access
across the whole city. So far I believe it's only in the centre and the
airport, but it's due all over the place in the near future. Certainly Sky
Harbor airport is the only one I've been to recently with free access.

Anyone know of any towns/cities in the UK with free access..? I've heard
it spoken about in a few places but nowhere I've been has had it.

Are you sure about that ? and that is not being paid for out of our
equivalent of the council tax if it is then it is a sheer waste of tax
payers money but someone must be paying .

Oh yes the poor citizens of Preston city are going to be having to be
forking out for it shortly but Preston council before it became a city
have always been a spendthrift council and blown rate payers money on
wasting schemes . The electorate of Preston must have money to spare
because they carry on electing a labor council at every elections
thank God their attempt to take us over got blocked .

Because it requires a credit check, and extra hassle for not a lot in
return.

Norwich has it. I've used it a few times but doesn't quite reach far
enough into my shop for my liking.
