I've got a good vireless connection to the MN700,
strength reads excellent at 48 MBs. However, I cannot get
Xbox Live to connect to the internet. I have cable one as
an internet provider and they say to set the DNS Servers
to Automatic, IP Address to automatic, PPPOe to Off and
Host Name and Mac Address to blank. I've done all of this
and still I cannot connect to the internet. XBox is
telling me it cannot get to the DNS server or obtain an IP
address. Incidentally, I'was able to automatically update
the firmware for the MN740 adpter. So what's exactly is
wrong here. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
JD

The User's Guide offers several suggestions to check when you cannot
connect:

- Check your range. Is the Xbox setup close enough (not more than 50-100
feet away) for a possible signal? Is the MN-740 away from other electrical
devices (like not sitting on the TV)?
- Is the MN-700 broadcasting the SSID? It must be set for that. Are you
using WEP, and not WPA, encryption? The MN-740 doesn't do WPA. Recheck
your settings in the Xbox, making sure you're using Infrastructure and not
AdHoc.
