I'm using a Viewsonic V37 PPC2003 with Viewsonics 802.11b SDIO card with the
MN-700 and have configured my email account as per my ISP (Comcast -
http://faq.comcast.net/faq/query.jsp?name=17837 ) Comcast tech support says
there is no reason why it should not work. When I select Send/Receive icon,
the status line says "Connecting" for a second or two and then changes to
"Logging On" where it sits for about 30 seconds and then the dialog boxes...

Dialog1. Messages cannot be downloaded to your mobile device. Make sure you
are connected and that your email account settings are correct. Then, try
to download messages again

Dialog2. The message(s) could not be sent. Check that you have network
coverage and that your account information is correct. Then try sending
again.

Yet, the Inbox does retrieve the messages in the Inbox, it does fail to send
any email. I can browse the internet fine, even connect to MSN Messenger
and cary on chats.

The other strange thing that has started since I added the MN-700 is on my
desktop (connected to the hub, not wireless) Outlook is always asking for
logon credentials for my mail server although it is retrieving email while
asking for log on credentials to my incoming mail server. Outlook does
successfully send/receive email.

I added my ISP to the local domain name in the base station management tool
(KB 329126) hoping that may solve the issue. No such luck.

Any additional suggestions as to how I can get the Viewsonic PDA to
send/receive email???

Thanks
John

Try the pocketpc newsgroup for the PPC2003 question. It does seem to
take an extended time to download with the PPC2003 as compared to a
computer, but it does work. I can't remember if I had to tweak any
settings to get it to work. If I did, it was a setting for server
timeout and I would have set it to long.

On the Outlook question, in the server settings, even though you've
added the domain name to the cfg for the 700, try using the FQDN in
the server settings fields in OL. mail.comcast.net and
smtp.comcast.net instead of mail and smtp
