I have a MN500 router and need to reinstall it to my computer but I've
lost the CD. I do have a users guide for the MN510 wireless B adapter
and the setup and network utility CD that goes along with it. Can I
use that CD to reinstall the MN500 (base station) to my main computer?
If not, where could I find what I need on the net? Thanks!

You don't really need the software at all, as everything can be configured
through the Base Station Management Tool; however, if you insist, the latest
(last) version of the software is available here

Thanks Jason. If I remember correctly, you need to have a password to
configure the Base Station Management Tool and unfortunately, that
password was was written on the jacket of the installation CD (that was
lost). At least I can blame this one on my ex wife as she lost it. heh
Hopefully, the latest version will suffice although I'm sure I'll have
to install this latest version on my other PC as well (on the same
network)??

Unfortunately the software won't help you with that.

You have two options

i) if your config/options are backed up, open that file in notepad, and the
password should appear in plain text.
ii) try the default password of (i think) admin
iii) reset the router (hold the reset button for 10 seconds)

Forgive my ignorance but when exactly would I want to do this in the
course of things?

It will reset the modem to "factory" meaning the "admin" password will work
again, but you need to set up the modem with the information furnished by
your ISP again.
