The port forwarding is probably Messenger automatically
opening and closing ports. You can see that on the security
logs, if you turn off Messenger the ports should be closed.
However, it could also be spyware or virus.
I have no answer for the DMZ turning off. Make sure WEP is
enabled and change the WEP key often (on router and wifi
cards).
