Hi all. I searched the newsgroup for the answer to my
question but I couldn't find it. My wireless network is
up and running fine, I have a good Internet connection.
The problem I have is that I cannot access the MN500. I
tried using the Base Station Management tool, that
doesn't work and I also cannot get to by going to
192.168.2.1 I reset the base station and then I can get
to it once and then when I close the connection to it, I
cannot get back to it. I'm using WinXP pro to get to it.
Thanks,
Rod

Are you changing the LAN/router IP or setting it in
bridge mode? The MN500 cannot be generally accessed in
bridge mode. If you change the router IP in the LAN
screen, you need to use the new IP to reach it. If you
are trying to use wireless to get to it, other reasons
could apply.

If it is either of these, check if you can ping the
router.

Thanks for the info. I can ping the address listed
above. I am trying to access it wirelessly. I don't
have any computers next to the router. I'm not sure what
you mean by bridge mode. I don't think I've ever changed
the LAN/router IP. Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Rod

Hi,

Check your Internet Options,
Open up your Internet Explorer, and then go to Tools -> Internet Options
Once the Internet Options window opens up, click on the Connections Tab, and
then click on the LAN Settings button, make sure all the checkmark boxes are
unchecked and then hit OK all the way back to the Internet Explorer Window.
Now try going to the base station management tool over at http://192.168.2.1

Thanks for the information. There was nothing checked in
the Lan Settings options. Also, when I try to access the
base station, it looks like it finds it, but it cannot
load the page.

Thanks,
Rod
