MN500 accesspoint not working

I use a Sweex wired router for my home network. I have
connected the MN500 as accesspoint. Internet over my
wireless laptop works fine. If I want to connect to my
home network it only works if I wire my laptop to the
Sweex router. Over wireless I cannot access the network,
i get a message that there is a networking problem. What
is wrong here?

This is because your wireless access point is acting as a "router," which
allows internet but not local networking. There's an option in the wireless
access point configuration to "change networking from router to bridge."
This has some other consequences as well, so read the notices before doing
this.

Another option is to turn off the wireless point's DHCP server, then plug
your Sweex router into a different port of the wireless point's array,
effectively putting everything on the local side of the wireless point.
