mn-730 software and nvdia driver problem

I have no idea what exactly it is but the drivers for my
new geforce fx5200 card make my network useless or
diconnect completely. It also made my msbn utility
program give me a visual c++ runtime error before I
uninstalled the driver. I even have the driver from the
ms update site and still the same outcome. I'm lost, is
this conflict because of the driver or the software the mn
730 uses? ALL the nvidia drivers are doing this to me
(I've used 5 different ones) and still the same outcome.
The network is either dropped or the connection slows to a
standstill even though it is showing it is connected
perfectly. any help is greatly appreciated.

have you confirmed that it is the drivers by using windows VGA (ugly I
know) and successfully running the utility? I've for a machine with an
older NVidia card and the 730, and I don't see this

Disable NView on your computer with the GEForce FX5200.
That should fix the problem

You can do this in the Display Control Panel, under the Settings tab, then
Advanced, then the FX5200 tab.

yeah, I did that and it works fine. I'll try disabling
Nview and see what happens. Thanks for the help.

Disabled Nview and still the same, Network isn't
recognized. The broadband utility tells me there is no
signal, but as soon as I start in safe, or remove the
driver it's working fine.

Disabling Nview will let you get your MS BNU access back (that was the cause
of your abnormal C++ error).

If you have a firewall running, it may prevent the BNU from detecting your
other computers.

forget about the BNU for now, can you share? If you can setup networking
sharing, you don't really need the BNU at all.

No sharing and no firewall. I even installed the driver
nvidia released today and still same result. Once the
drivers are removed everything runs like a champ. It
also won't allow me to make another connection to the
network. It tells me the card needs a cable to be
connected or the card be put in correctly. I'm lost
completely. Thanks for all the help.
