MN-730 PCI adapter WEP set won't hold

I configure adapter for simple WEP 64 bit. Experience
connection failure. Look again at configuration; it has
jumped back to 128 bit. After a few tries Win98SE
crashes. Would appreciate any suggestions for fix!!

PS it has worked OK in ad-hoc network setting.
