MN-730 locks up PC during install

I am installing a MN-730 on a Win 98 machine. The install
proceeds as normal and the MN-730 is detected. Then
Install asks for the Win 98 CD, when it copies the files
it immediately locks up. No keyboard, no mouse. I have
to turn the machine off to reboot. The machine will
reboot, but locks up again after several minutes.

I have done the process several times and it always stops
at the same point. Any thoughts would be Appreciated.

I have a nearly identical problem- MN-730 card is detected and appears to be identified and installed properly, but once broadband utility is running, Win98 either locks or reboots itself. I don't know what the problem is either, but if you could forward me any advice you can get regarding this matter, it would be greatly appreciated.

Microsoft support could not make it work either. I guess
I will return it and get my money back
