Every time I shut down and restart I have to manually
reconnect my PC to my wireless router (Dlink DWL 614+).
It seems as if the settings are not being saved. Is there
a fix for this? I am a techie, but my wife and kids are
not and wilL not know how to re-establish a wireless
network connection.

Try to uninstall the non-essential network adapter, check
for ghosting device through safe mode and uninstall
unessential TCP/ip adapter which u don't require and
uninstall MN-730 and software and restart the computer
and reinstall it back
Because there might be possiblity of ghosting device and
win98 support upto 6 network devices
