installed MN730 adapt. but will not connect with base
station, other PC's on my network have no problem
connecting.

device manager shows mn730 to be installed and working
ok, have config my adapt and set the wep key.

the book said to use the wizard to set up, I did. after
it installed all componets it needed it then installed
the software, I shut down and installed the adapt like it
said but when i restarted windows 98se took over (plug
and play) and installed the drivers instead of the wizard
doing it (could this be my problem?)how can I make sur
the right drivers are installed for this adapt.?

Lets trust device manager for now to say the card is
installed as a working device (The MS MN-730). Does the
BNU show this card as the current adapter, and can you
see an available network.
If you can change the name of the SSID (wireless network
name) and have this computer also see the now changed
SSID, you know the wireless connection is stable. Then
concentrate on your settings in the BNU, maybe try with
out WEP, till a proper 192.168.2.X IP is obtained.

Best of luck.
