I have 2 computers (desktop, laptop). Cable internet
connection. I use wireless MN-7200 adapter on my laptop,
and directly connect to my desktop from the microsoft
base station.

It all works, but my laptop (Toshiba Satellite 2455-S305)
runs at about ISDN speed, as per bandwidth tests. It is
not my network, cause the desktop SCREAMS. And I don't
think it is my adapter, cause I took the card to my
neighbors, and connected FROM HIS HOUSE onto my network,
at speeds faster than I can get on my laptop directly in
front of the base station.

I consider myself computer literate, but I can't seem to
figure this out.

PLEASE HELP.

Do you have any networking devices bridged?

im sure this isnt the problem... but any wireless
connection is gonna have a crappy upload rate, and the
fact that its on a laptop is worse yet. try just going
with cable or a T1 line plugged into your laptop, nothin
better than a direct line. also, wireless can be detected
and if a neighbor knows your passwords they can logon and
hog up your bandwidth to.
