I'm trying to use wpa2 on my network, I have the MN-720 notebook adapter with
driver version 3.60.7.0 (I'm assuming it's the latest since I couldn't find
any newer) Windows XP w/SP2, and I have installed the WPA2 update (893357)
from Microsoft. When I go to the wireless network properties of the MN-720,
the network authentication list only shows Open, Shared, WPA, and WPA-PSK,
just like it did before I installed the update. I also noted in the Knowledge
base article that the WPA2 and WPA2-PSK options will not show up if the
network adapter driver doesn't support WPA2.
From Barb Bowman's article, http://www.mcemvp.us/bbowman/WPA2+Yeah+Baby.aspx
, I understood that it did support WPA2.
Any help or clarification will be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.

Do you have a router that supports WPA2? I have a DGL-4300 from D-Link
that does and when I point at that network with WPA2 enabled on the
router, I have WPA2 available.

Yea, I'm using a Linksys WRT54G , with beta firmware that supports WPA2.
Viewing the router in the available networks, it reads Security-enabled
Wireless Network (WPA2). I can't connect to it, or find the options to set it
up properly.

I have a wrt54G v1 here - if you tell me where the beta firmware is
available, I'll dig it out of the closet and see what I can figure
out.

Here you go,
http://www.siemens-mobiles.org/links...t45g/Official/
using the WRT54GV3.1_4.00.7_US_code.bin version.

In this forum thread-
http://www.linksysinfo.org/modules.p...=asc&start=400
someone states that the firmware is compatible with WRT54G 1.1, but I dont
know if it also includes v1.0. Thanks again for taking the time to help out.

Well, I' d like to know for sure if it is compatible. From what I'm
reading in general, it may not be. I supposed the answer will be
evident when Linksys releases non beta firmware for the 1.0.
