I have a HP pavilion ze4300 laptop with the AMD
processer. I am trying to make my laptop wireless. The
problem that I am getting is that it will not connect to
the wireless infastructure network and there is no
security settings set up on it and anybody can access the
wireless network. Everytime my computer tries to connect
to the network it askes for a WEP or a security key but
there is no access key to get on the network. I have
tried the wireless adapter on a friends laptop and it
autoconfiged to the network in 2 minutes without even
installing the software. I then tried installing the
softare and it still gives me the same problem. If I set
it up to peer to peer I at least get a signal going out
but it does not pick anything up because I am using a
router. If anybody has any options that I an try please
email me at (E-Mail Removed)

If you are using the MN-700, open your browser and go to 192.168.2.1, change
the password from the default of admin and change the default SSID to
something other than the default. Then setup a WEP key for wireless
security. Print the key out, save it to a txt file on your hard drive. Then
configure the WEP settings in the laptop. If you are using XP, don't use the
utility, use the built in features of XP. If you are using a non MS branded
router, seek help from that manufacturer for configuring WEP. Use a 128 bit
HEX key.
