MN-720: Initial Setup recognition problem

During the Initial Broadband Setup Utility Wizard of the
MN-820 Base station/Notebook kit, after configuring my
base station successfully, the wizard will not proceed
after I plug in my MN-720 into the Card Bus Network port
on my new Toshiba Laptop with Window XP. I wait for the
wizard to ask me to insert the MN-720 and the card fully
lights up when inserted. The wizard on the base station
does not recognize that the card has been inserted and
does not proceed. None of the solutions in the help file
resolved this issue.
I managed to get around this by manually setting it up,
and I have been using the Internet on my laptop just
fine. Although I am able to use the internet on the
laptop, I cannot access shared file on the base station
and vice versa. Both Workgroups have the same name, and
all files are set to share.
The laptop is not shown on the main page of the the
Broadband Utility.
Is my MN-720 possibly defective?
Any help is much appreciated.

If you can browse the Internet then the MN-720 & MN-700 are functioning
properly. File & printer sharing is a Windows issue.
