Hardware involved:
Toshiba Satellite 4000CDT running Win2K SP4
MN-720 NIC
MN-700 base
When running the Broadband Utility to configure the NIC,
I'm able to browse the network to see the base station, but
when I select the base station and attempt to connect, I
get an error message that states that I couldn't save the
setting and to try again later.
Funny thing is, I'm now connected to the network and can
browse and transfer as if nothing was wrong.
Annoying thing is that if I reboot, I've lost the
connection and have to go through the utility to do so again.
I've tried this as Administrator to no avail.
I have changed my wireless network name to something other
than the default. The NIC is expecting MSHOME as the
default. I haven't tested changing this around to see if I
can get it to work. I'd rather not have to leave it as
default.
WEP is currently not enabled. I tried enabling and the
problem remained.
I'd like the to work perfectly using the provided
utilities, but I'm willing to edit an .INI file or the
registry to get the job done so I don't have to go through
this inconvenience.
Any help would be appriciated.
Thanks!
