MN-720 cannot stay connected

I have not been able to get the MN-720 to keep a stable
connection to either a Linksys or D-Link APs. Is there a
compatibility problem? The AP looks available, I use the
valid WEP key and from time to time it looks connected,
but I cannot use the connection, other times it just
keeps saying that a connection is available... over and
over...

Both AP are using 802.11B, and my laptop is running
Windows XP SP1 + latest hotfixes.

Is anyone else using their MN-720's with other AP vendors?

Thanks in advance,
Steph

After installing SP1 for Windows XP you will need to disable 802.1x
authentication on most wireless connections. Especially if you are
using WEP for security. This is because most routers don't support
802.1x authentication. The MN-700 only supports this feature when it is
using WPA security.

Thanks for the reply.

By "disabling 802.1x" if you mean to uncheck the option
during connection, I've done that to no avail. I still
get the endless... "connection available" prompt.

Any other thought?

TIA,
Steph

Then you need to enable the option to only connect to preferred
networks. I'm not 100% sure where in the wireless connection that
option is set.
