Help, I have Win ME and have installed MN-720. I can surf
for a few click throughs then Explorer freezes. It happens
every time. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I would suggest it is Internet Explorer, and not the network adapter. Have
you cleared your IE cache lately, done a thorough virus scan of your system,
checked for Trojans with one of the free programs available (like AdAware).
You may check this information from Microsoft MVP Sandi Hardmeier:
http://www.mvps.org/inetexplorer/ and if you need further assistance, post
to the Internet Explorer newsgroup appropriate for the build you're using.

Thanks Chris. Great suggestions. Cache was cleared
Thursday. I have InoculateIT and ran a scan, and followed
the ad-aware instructions.
Problem persists.
IE works just fine when I use a dial up connection. I have
disabled the dial up and the IE crash problem persists. I
can't even close out clicking the X. I have to
Ctrl+alt+delete. Then it shows IE[not responding] and
sometimes it shows REALMON[not responding]. Also, if I
have the MN-720 plugged into my laptop, other applications
freeze up, including OUTLOOK.

I called the support line and they thought the MN-720 was
defective. So I took it back and got another one. Same
problems.

I'll go to IE support, but thought you ought to know.

You might try going into IE, then Tools/Internet Options and click on the
Connections tab. Make sure your old dial-up account is not showing in the
top box, then click the LAN Settings button in the lower right corner. Make
sure there are no check marks in any of the boxes. None.

Drat! Can you temporarily disable InoculateIT? I believe that's where the
Realmon error is coming from, and it may be choking on something. The other
thing is these lockups sound familiar, like one of the Internet worms which
have been going around.

However, with other things locking up on you, have you check in Control
Panel/Administrative Tools/Event Viewer and clicked on Application in the
left panel? This reveals events on the computer in the right panel,
including error messages which can by right-clicked. You can select
Properties on those and see a portion of the error message which may lead to
a solution.

You can also trap program crashes and lock-ups with Dr. Watson. He's still
around, just not being called often these days. Take a look in Help and
Support for information on him.

I disabled InnoculateIT. I have ME. It doesn't appear
that I have an Admin Tools feature. Is there another way
to Event Viewer?

There is no event viewer in Windows ME.

The Event Viewer is a Windows NT-based OS feature.

Sorry, I thought you were on Windows XP. Millennium won't have that method.
Have you posted this information to one of the Internet Explorer or
Millennium newsgroups?

Thanks Chris,
I spent about 7 hours trying to get the MN-720 to work. I
did go to IExplorer for help as well. Today I bought a
Linksys Wireless-G adapter, installed it and it works just
fine, even when I have several web sites and applications
open. Thought you ought to know.

Best of luck,
Holly
