I'm thinking about getting a MN-720 Wireless NIC for my IBM
T20 laptop running Win98SE.

The MN-720 box says that IE 6.0 is required. I'm running IE
5.01SR2 and don't want to upgrade for reasons that don't
need to be discussed here.

Does the MN-720 installation automatically install IE 6.0?

I certainly have not tested on a machine using an obsolete non
supported browser version. Rather than debate this endlessly, suggest
you purchase a different brand.

My question was: Does the MS installation software for the
MN-720 automatically install IE 6.0?

I don't have the answer to this because i've always installed on
machines already running the latest IE browser with all security
patches. It is likely that if this is listed as a requirement that some
portion of setup requires IE 6.
