hello,

I had the same problem a while ago, but after reading
through my router owners manual i was able to solve the
problem i was having...........

According to my manual you have to set your wireless
adapter to connect to a wireless network SSID
named "WLAN".... has to be exactly the same.. refer to ur
own manual to check if this is the solution for you..

Probably you are using a domain on the Win2K machines and a
workgroup on the XP -- check this on the WIndows newsgroup.

Otherwise, make sure that Windows Zero Configuration is
checked, WEP keys, key length and key type match. Is this a
peer-to-peer network, or are you using a router (and which)?

I've got the MN-710 connecting to a MN-700 Router that is
acting as a router. The only problem I ham having is with
the windows XP Home machine.. as for fixes I've tried to
located the 802.11x setting but I can't find the
settings:S, I would realy like to get this fixed as this
is the only pc left to figure out.

Right-mouse click on the network icon on the right bottom
of the screen menu. Select Available Networks. The 802.1x
setting is named IEEE 802.1x. The 802.1x setting typically
disconnects the connection after 3mn.

What is the exact message you are getting?

Typically, you want to make sure you are using the same
channel, SSID, and WEP key, key length and key type as the
router. Windows Zeor Configuration should be checked.
Sometimes it is easier to first disable WEP on the router,
setup the card, and then reenable WEP on both the router
and card.

Also, make sure it is a wireless connection problem. Use IE
and go to 192.168.2.1. If this works, then the wireless is
working and the problem is a NetBIOS problem (probably
workgroup related or a software firewall running, such as
Norton or Widnows ICF).
