From time to time (about 15 min at worst, 3 hours at best)
my MN-710 disconnects from the internet / network. If I
disable the connection (in dialup and network connections)
then immediately enable it, it works great again.

Why o why is it doing this?

(Btw, it disconnected while I was typing this

Dear mike,

Could be a couple reasons:

(1) Check the properties of your TCP/IP-Authentication
tab. Make sure "Enable IEEE 802.1x..." is UNCHECKED.
(2) Doe you have PPPoE? If so, set you max idele time to
600.

try that...

Only disable the 802.1x authentication if you are not using WPA on the
MN-700 as in that mode it supports running as a 802.1x authentication
server.

hi,

Apart from the other issues, also get your mother board
(chipset) checked from you hardware vendor for USB 2.0
compatibility. It is not sufficient that your USB port is
USB 2.0 compatible, the motherboard should support it.
