MN-710 Connection Drop with Linksys Router

My Microsoft wireless-g USB adapter often drops the
connection with my Linksys wireless-g router. Is this the
result of some incompatability or why is this happening?

All g systems follow the same standard. Check that you have
set both router and wifi card to same channel. Ieee 802.1x
most often needs to be disabled on the 710 (although this
depends).

Otherwise it may be interference from other networks,
phones, microwave... Try with channels 1 or 11 and see if
that helps. Sometimes it also helps moving the router or
the 710 slightly around (wifi is pretty much just like old
radios)

Cannot answer your question, but I had the same
problem (extremely frequent disconnects until
updated WindowsXP with Service Pack 2.

It seems that it had the opposite effect on other
computers, though.
