The box says it supports WPA; I installed and the setup
utility sees the wireless network, but it won't accept a
WPA key.

(And, if I disable security, it connects to the linksys
wireless router just fine)

What do I need to do to get WPA running on the MN710?

I assume you are using Windows XP.

Dump the MS BNU and set it up with Windows XP's Wireless Zero Config.

Install a third party utility that gives Windows 98 that support or
upgrade to Windows XP.

Only Windows XP has built in support for WPA & the broadband network
utility does not support WPA only WEP.

Yes the hardware supports WPA but the software does not support WPA.

Your OS Windows 98 doesn't support either.

Wiuth Windows XP download Service Pack 2 (over 200 MB).
It has very good software that will enable WPA.
