Add your network to the list of preferred networks on the
settings for the wireless adapter, and check connect only
to preferred nets.
Also make sure you are using the same channel on the
router and the wireless adapter. Experiment with
different channels (1, 6, and 11 are non overlapping) --
the problem could come from interference with wireless
phones, microwave, refrigerator, other networks --
changing the channel may help
Try moving the base station farther away from walls or
other objects -- sometimes this helps
