I have been trying to install the mn-700 base station
without luck. Last week I spent 3 hours on the phone
with MS techs who concluded that the base station was
faulty. I recently received the new one and am still
having trouble. This time the computer does not detect
the base station even though all proper light are green,
all cables have been double-checked, and firewalls
disabled. I am running windows xp and have a toshiba
modem. My internet access is fine. Help!

I bought one Mar 24, and initially it appeared to work
fine. However, it developed problems and I finally had
to exchange it for another. The second one appears to
work fine, although I've only tested it for a day or so.

Go to 700's management tool via 192.168.2.1 in address
bar of your web browser & manually configure. Turn off
proxy if unable to reach this page. See foll. link for
details on manual config.
