Under "Manual Install" for the MN-700, why does it say
there are no firmware updates?

There have been firmware updates to the MN-700, but the
only way to get them has been to install the utility.

Some people here prefer to do this manually, but have
been forced to use utility.

Hi,

With the MN-700 there is no other way to update the firmware through the
Base Station Management Tool. There are a few updates that are completed
such as the runtime code and the boot code and it can't be completed without
running the setup wizard.
You'll have to download the MSBNDownload.exe file which is a 12.4MB download
which has the latest firmware for your MN-700.

Unlike the MN-500 there isn't a single file where you can update the
firmware.
With the MN-500 you can download the same MSBNDownload.exe file and then use
a decompressor program such as WinRAR and extract the contents of the file
and you'll find the firmware file where you can then log into the Base
Station Management Tool to apply the firmware update.

Hi,

If you log into your base station management tool by opening up your
Internet Explorer and then typing in http://192.168.2.1 the information on
the home page at the bottom will tell you what version you have.
The latest firmware has these versions:
Runtime code version: 02.00.08.0333
Boot code version: 02.00.08.0333

You don't need to install the utility to install the firmware updates.

The MSBNDownload.exe file that you download does not require the BNU to be
installed.
